Quick Weight Loss - Quick Weight Loss Strategies - What Works, What Doesn't?

If you're looking to experience quick weight loss, you're likely going to come across a variety of different strategies that claim to help you do so, but which of these strategies will actually be effective is a whole other ball game.

Understanding what prompts a quick weight loss is going to be the first step in understanding which strategies might work, and which won't.
Here is what you need to know about quick weight loss strategies.

Starvation Fasts
The common quick weight loss method that many people try out when desperately seeking to maximize their fat loss is quick-fix starvation fasts. This includes those 'Hollywood' diets you seen in drugstores, juice fasts, detox diets, and so on.
Basically, you might be eating some food but it isn't going to be much.
If the current weight loss diet plan you're following falls into this category, it's likely a quick weight strategy that isn't going to work.
First off, not only is the initial weight loss likely to be mostly water weight, but second to that, this approach will really slow the metabolism, so that when you do come off it - and you will since obviously you do need to eat to survive, you will just wind up gaining weight since you're burning so few calories a day.

Low Carb Diets
The next way many people attempt to jump start quick weight loss is with low carb diets. While low carb dieting is a perfectly valid method of losing weight over the long term, as a quick fix, it's not usually the best method.
First, when you start up a very low carb diet, you go through an adaptation period where you're likely to feel fatigued, 'fuzzy brained', and just generally not that well.
Now, if you plan to stay on the low carb diet for a longer period of time, this typically is okay because it will subside in a week or two once the body gets used to it, so it's not that bad of a price to pay.
But, if you are only going to use the diet for a couple of weeks, then essentially just as your body is adapting, you go and change things again, and when you come off, you're going to experience water weight gain, bloating, and feelings of being sluggish.
So, over the long term, low carb dieting can be a good solution, but as a quick weight loss solution, there are better options.

Higher Protein Diets Coupled With Weight Training
Finally, the last quick weight loss strategy that you can do which does tend to work better is a higher protein diet coupled with intense weight lifting.
The reason this works is because first, the addition protein helps to keep hunger levels under control, so if you're eating less, weight loss automatically becomes easier, and secondly, the intense weight lifting will help to really bring out the muscle definition, making you look leaner.
Finally, the third reason this is beneficial is because it will help to kickstart the metabolism even higher, meaning you need to eat fewer calories to lose weight.
All around, if you're looking for quick weight loss, this is a superior way to go.
